Clack Mountain Festival (CMF), formerly Bluegrass 'n More, features numerous performances of Bluegrass, traditional, acoustic and other music, showcasing regional talent, as well as nationally-recognized musicians and songwriters. Most of the activities of CMF are held at or near the Cora Wilson Stewart Moonlight School in the historic First Street Arts District. Past performers include: Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys, Kentucky Wild Horse, Tim O'brien, Mike Snider, Pete & Joan Wernick, The Everybodyfields, Don Rigsby & Midnight Call, The Clack Mountain String Band, Heather Berry, Hazel Holler, the Tommy Webb Band, the Havens and more. In addition to music, various arts and heritage events are held during the festival. A Day in the Country Folk Art Show & Sale and the Appalachian Arts and Craft Fair are also held in conjunction with the festival. Several area art exhibits also are scheduled.
CMF also features children's games, great festival food and more. It's family-friendly and fun for all! Don't forget your lawn or camping chair!
FRIDAY NIGHT admission is FREE. SATURDAY ADMISSION is $5 is the admission fee to the festival and activities. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free. Each attendee will receive a ticket and wrist band and will be entered into the drawing for giveaways. To purchase tickets, please see a festival volunteer at the ticket tables located on the east and west ends of First Street.
